Keeping Patients Safe

Walk-in Dermatology > Keeping Patients Safe

At Walk-in Dermatology we take the health and safety of our patients, staff, and community seriously. With this in mind, we have established in-office policies and procedures based on COVID-19 guidelines from the CDC and local government officials. Please take note of the following policies and procedures for your in-person office visit. Note that these policies and procedures are subject to change as new guidance becomes available.

Safety Policies for Patients

Covid Office Visit Screening

Patients will undergo screening questions prior to arriving for their in-person office visit and will also undergo additional screening upon arrival at our office.

contactless

We are offering a “contactless check-in” process. Patients can be checked in while waiting in their car to minimize contact with others in the office. Patients who choose this option receive a phone call from us when their exam room is ready.

face mask

Patients will be required to wear a face mask upon entering the office. All staff will also be wearing personal protective equipment. Patients should bring their own mask to their appointment. If they do not have a mask, one will be provided by our staff if we have the supplies to do so, otherwise patients will be asked to reschedule their appointment.

Temperature

Patients will have their temperature taken using an instant infrared thermometer. All patients with a temperature of 99.6 degrees or higher will not be permitted to enter the office and will be asked to reschedule their appointment.

hand sanitizer

There is a hand sanitizing station at the entrance to our office. Patients will be asked to sanitize their hands upon entering the office.

Social Distancing

Our entire office has been organized to maximize social distancing for all patients and staff.

Clean Office

We are maintaining rigorous sanitizing protocols before and after each patient enters the office. This includes sanitizing protocols in common areas and exam rooms.

No Groups

We request that patients enter the office alone for their appointment unless a parent or guardian is required or unless a patient is elderly, in which case a companion is permitted. Parents, guardians, or elderly companions will be properly screened before entering the office as well.

Video Visits

Video Visits will be offered for all patients who prefer to be seen from the comfort of their own home.

Patients should know that Walk-in Dermatology is addressing the unique challenges posed by COVID-19 in a proactive manner to protect patients, our staff, and our community. If you have a question about these policies and procedures, email team@walkindermatology.com or call us.
